Halt Music Company Records Submission Guidelines
The following are the policies and procedures for submitting materials. We do not accept unsolicited material from an artist or songwriter directly. If you are one of the aforementioned, you must be represented by a lawyer, manager or music publisher other than yourself. Your representative must include a letter, to a specific A&R person, on company letterhead when submitting your demo. Also, it is crucial that the return address label on the outside of your package indicates that it is coming to us from an attorney's office, music publishing company or management firm. If not, the material will be returned unopened. Do not send more than 4 songs of original material. Press materials, lyric sheets and publicity photos are always helpful and welcomed. Halt Music Company is not responsible for returning rejected materials. Please keep in mind that the type of music you have will determine the correct A&R person to receive materials, as we do listen to every solicited tape that comes in.
